About the American Crocodile Education Sanctuary
ACES (The American Crocodile Education Sanctuary) is a non-profit organization on Ambergris Caye, Belize. These amazing individuals provide conservation, education, and rehabilitation services to the island, as well as relocation of wildlife who've wandered into places they shouldn't be. This includes the often misunderstood American Crocodile.
About San Pedro Hot Lunch Program
The San Pedro Hot Lunch Program was developed by Maresha Reid, owner of Pirate's Treasure and Pirate's Secret Beach. With the closure of the island, due to the COVID pandemic, Maresha instinctively saw the need to feed the people on Ambergris Caye. She started off feeding 80 people on March 24th, 2020. Currently, she feeds more than 350 people - three times per week. But there are so many more that need help!
100% of the profits from this book were donated to the San Pedro Hot Lunch Program between May and October, to help ensure no one on Ambergris Caye went to bed hungry.
With the opening of the borders and our slow return to tourism, donations from the sale of this book are now being donated among several programs on the island to help those still struggling, including Hope Haven and the Sagebrush Church lunch program, as well as others.
